Many people are deficient in EFAs. EFAs (or essential fatty acids) are important compounds found in the structure of cells, and which provide energy for the body's internal processes. Essential fatty acids are specific fatty acids that are required by the body for overall support, but the body cannot manufacture in big enough amounts, so EFAs must be obtained from other dietary sources.
Premier EFAs is a rich blend of four premier-quality oils, including olive oil, flaxseed oil, sesame oil, and borage oil. Sesame oil naturally contains antioxidants, such as sesamol, sesamin, and sesamolin as well as natural vitamin E. Flaxseed oil includes an impressive source of omega-3 essential fatty acids. Olive oil consists mainly of oleic acid, with smaller amounts fatty acids including palmitic and linoleic acid. Borage oil is well-known for its beneficial gamma linolenic acid (GLA) content. Together, this high-quality EFA product provides a well-rounded blend of essential fatty acids needed in the diet, including GLA, as well as the Omega 3,6, and 9 essential fatty acids.
