Traumeel by Heel Inc. markets products which are officially classified as homeopathic, including TRAUMEEL. Although the scientific support behind some forms of complementary medicine is sparse, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials have been published in reputable peer-reviewed journals (e.g. The Lancet, Pediatrics, British Medical Journal) which scientifically support the clinical effectiveness of homeopathy in general, and Heel/BHI products in particular.

TRAUMEEL is an anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-edematous, anti-exudative combination formulation of 12 botanical and 2 mineral substances. TRAUMEEL is officially classified as a homeopathic combination remedy. It is indicated for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with inflammatory, exudative, and degenerative processes due to acute trauma (such as contusions, lacerations, fractures, sprains, post-operative wounds, etc.), repetitive or overuse injuries (such as tendinitis, bursitis, epicondylitis, etc.), and for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains associated with such conditions.

TRAUMEEL is also indicated for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains associated with backache, muscular aches, and the minor pain from rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gouty arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.

Dosage:
Adults: Apply generously 3 times daily, or more often if necessary, to the affected area, rubbing in gently. If appropriate, also apply an ointment dressing.

Composition:
Active ingredients: 100 g contains: Arnica montana, radix D3, 4.416g; Calendula officinalis D1, Hamamelis virginiana D1, 1.326g each; Bellis perennis D1, Hypericum perforatum D3, 0.295g; Millefolium D1, 0.265 g; Symphytum officinale D4, 0.295g; Aconitum napellus D3, Belladonna D3, 0.147g each; Hepar sulphuris calcareum D6, 0.074g; Chamomilla D1, Echinacea angustifolia D1, Echinacea purpurea D1, 0.442g each.

Non-medicinal ingredients: Hydrophilic ointment base according to USP XXIII.

Indications:
Injuries of all kinds (sports, accidents) such as sprains, dislocations, contusions, effusions of blood and effusions into a joint, fractures, etc; inflammatory processes and degenerative processes associated with inflammation on the various organs and tissues (e.g. periodontitis, suppuration of the gingival pockets, periodontosis), including, in particular, on the support and mobility apparatus (tendovaginitis, bursitis, scapulohumeral periarthritis); arthrosis of the hip, knee and small joints.
